The title change is a registry edit. To change the IE title bar to contain
the title you want, click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK
or press ENTER. When the Registry Editor window appears, collapse all the
branches of the directory tree in the left pane (click any minus signs [-]
that appear there) until only the main My/Computer branch is visible. Then,
expand branches (clicking plus sins [+] until you work your way down to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/INTERNET EXPLORER/MAIN. Look in the
right pane; it should contain a number of items. Look for one called Window
Title. Double-click this entry, and then delete the offending text in the
Value Data field of the Edit String dialog box. Type in any name you want
and click OK. Restart Windows, and the name you entered should appear in
your IE title bar.

I switched from ATT Worldnet to BellSouth DSL. When I open IE it still
says MicroSoft Internet Explorer Developed by ATT Worldnet. I have
downloaded IE 6 and pack1. The description says IE 6.0 with 128 bit so I
think I have the latest version. I have two questions. Why does the header
still say IE developed by ATT. When I got to certain Websites I get the
error of Web page cannot be displayed or if I am trying to download a file
it will say server reset. This only happens on certain sites. I read the
web, but most of the fixes seem to be for IE 5 and below. Can anyone help
me out.
Regarding the non-display pages, 1. Check if a program running in the
background is interfering with Internet Explorer. Temporarily disable all
Norton programs, including anti-virus, win doctor, recycle bin protect, and
clean sweep. Disable any firewall or ad-blocker.
2. Perform a repair of Internet Explorer. From Control Panel select
Add/Remove Programs. Scroll down to Microsoft Internet Explorer and
highlight it. Click on the Add/Remove button. When the IE Tools menu comes
up, select Repair. Click OK.
3. If repairing does not work, uninstall and reinstall IE. At the same IE
Tools menu, select "Restore the previous Windows configuration". Then
reinstall Internet Explore.
