Cannot display any web pages (IE6)

I seem to be having the same problem as Kevin. I, too,
have Windows 98 and updated my IE to IE6. Now I cannot
get any web pages, not even my ISP web page to come up. I
had someone install an antivirus software, and it stated
that IE could not be repaired. Files missing -
schannel.dll, webcheck.dll, msidle.dll....ANY HELP WOULD
BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. I am using a friend's computer at
the present time.
