I've beeing trying to disable Windows XP Pro SP2 firewall, but no success.

I've performed following steps:
1. Windows Security Center\Resources\Change the way Security Center allerts
me\Allert Center - Unticked all options.
2. Windows Security Center\Security Essentials\Firewall\Recommandations\
Ticked: I have a firewall solution that I'llmonitor myself.

I'm using Sygate Personal Firewall for the moment and everytime I start the
PC, the Security Center pops up and keeps telling me that I should enable
the Windows firewall.
I used to use latest ZoneAlarm as well, but had the same problem, even more,
Windows was crashing.

Any sollutions?
Julian

Update Sygate and SP 2 will recognize it.

The windows security center doesn't communicate with the Sygate firewall
yet. They (Sygate) say an update is coming but it hasn't come out yet
that I know of. In security center click on "change the way Security
Center Alerts me" and turn off the firwall alert.

The latest ZA should in fact turn off the firewall itself as it
initialises, and should let Security Center know. But you can disable
the Security Center service altogether; Control Panel - Admin Tools -
Services, double click on Security Center. Click Stop, then in Startup
type set Disabled and click Apply.

You can then turn off the firewall if you want to in Control Panel -
Windows Firewall. Remember to turn it on again temporarily if you are
updating your regular firewall
