cannot delete windows update log

I am running a program that deletes log files temp files etc but it stops
when I try to clean out the log files as it says that it cannot delete
C:\windows\windowsupdate.log No matter what I try I cannot delete this file,
it says that it is in use by another program or application..... but what?
 
Hello T5,

Think it will be used by the Automatic update service. Stop that service
and try again.
