Cannot delete files

I am looking after a small server. We had a virus and
reformatted the C drive. Since then deleting files has
been an issue.

The system is an Athlon 2500 Barton with a Gigabyte GA7
motherboard using the Via KT400A chipset.

The C drive is a SCSI and seems to work fine.

The data drive is a RAID pair set up as a mirror for data
security. The RAID is onboard Promise system.

Files on the data drive will not delete. The
message "cannot find path specified" is given.

Files can be copied, moved and generated. Directories
behave similarly.

An XP system can be networked in and will delete these
files.

The problem exists when the Windows disc is loaded. It
persists even after all the latest updates have been
loaded and IE has been boght up to the latest standerd.

Some ideas please since I've completely run out.

Please state what exact method you use when deleting
your files: Explorer, or a Command Prompt. You should
also say if this happens with some files only, or with any
file in any folder, even files that you have just created.
