Hi,
I have just installed a new hard drive. I can use it (its volumes) from an
administrator account but cannot delete or modify files on the hard drive
from a limited user account. I can read the files from a limited account. How
can I make the drive fully accessible from all acounts?
thank you.

Thank you, Shenan. I still cannot firgure it out.

There is no Security tab in the properties of a file on the hard drive
because of the Simple file sharing option. I cannot turn off simple file
sharing because i am running Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition.

Why can I access my old hard drive from all accounts with the same settings?
Should I work on the permissions for files or for the hard drive?

Did you read the article carefully?

"If you are not joined to a domain, or you are running Windows XP Home
Edition, and you want to view the Security tab, see the "Set, view, change,
or remove file and folder permissions" section."

Which states:
"Windows XP Home Edition
Start in safe mode, and then log in as Administrator or as Administrative
User. The Security tab is available for files or folders on NTFS volumes."
