I am a photographerand have many folders under my albums containing many
images. In one folder I have a file that I cannot delete, open, copy... and
it freezes my system when I try to do anything. I got an error message
"cannot delete-Data error (cycle reducdancy report). What is a cycle
reducdancy report or any suggestions how to delete this file?

The cyclic redundancy check is an integrity check performed to make sure
that a file was transferred completely and correctly to your computer. The
message means that the file became corrupted when it was transfered to your
computer. The file is probably unusable.

You can probably delete the file from Safe Mode.

Try also to run a full scan disk you might have a bad spot on the harddisk
"media physical error".

Yes, safemode, or possibly Start,Programs, Accessories, Command Prompt - then
navigate to folder and use "DEL filename.ext" and ENTER - depends on Windows
version.

REMINDER - like yourself I create a lot of pics - REMEMBER TO DO BACKUP TO
CD REGULARLY - if your PC goes awol you wouldn't want to lose them all.
