I'm trying to re-install XP Pro on a colleague's computer,
but having selected and formatted the install partition,
the installer copies loads of files and then complains
that it can't copy ntldr. If I skip, it then complains
that it can't find all the rest of the files that it
needs, one after another. I know the install CD is OK,
because it has no scratches on it and checks out OK on my
Plextor Q-check.
I've had this problem before and the answer was nothing to
do with a problem with the install disk, but I'm damned if
I can remember what it was.
