Hello,
I have a problem with XP Pro where I cannot customise the date and time
formats in Control Panel. I am trying to get rid of the a.m. or AM suffix in
the time format.

If I select one of the formats from the drop down list and click "Apply", I
get a message saying "One or more of the characters you have typed in this
field is invalid. Try typing different charaters."

I have removed all a.m. or AM references in the registry but I still get the
suffix on any time I type into say an Excel spreadsheet.

If I set up a new identity with Administrator rights then I can change the
formats without a problem.

Thanks in advance for any help.

alan I had that problem once what i did was unplus my keyboard and restarted
my PC what that did was let me know keyboard missing and then it will show
how to reset several one will be the internal clock

Thanks for the reply jazzy. I finally found the answer. I had to add
"International" to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel which I found as a
possible problem in Win 95 and 98. It was in the various "Identities" but
not in Current User.
