Hello. I dont know what happened. I have burned disks before and now I cant.
No matter what program I use Nero, Media Player 10, Sonic, Alcohol or WinISO,
when I go to burn something whether its using the CDRW or DVD drive, nothing
happens. In nero when I try to choose a recorder I get a "Access Failure" on
both drives. Now if I use a regular program cd or music cd and place in
either drive, it works fine. Only when I go to burn. Im thinking something is
or got turned off in XP, whether its a service, or reg setting etc. I have
already tried different disks thinking that was it. No luck. I also tried
uninstalling drives and reinstalling, with no luck. Anyone have an idea. I do
have SP2 installed, but cannot remember if I have burned anything since
installing it.Thanks for any suggestions. Carito

Reboot the computer is what fixes that problem for me.
After burning four of five CDs the system seems to need
a reboot.

I forgtot to say that I already checked the reg settings and that I do have a
recording tab for both drive properties and the box to record is checked. I
also do not have Roxio or easy cd creator installed as was mentioned in
another post. Carito

You seem to have a "number" of applications for media, have you
checked that all are up-to-date ?, Since you installed SP2, it's a
good idea to visit each vendor's website and download/install any
updates posted within the last two months time.
