Cannot access WinXP machine on the network

1. I have set up 3 computer network with a switch recently
2. 2 running W2K and the other XP
3. I have shared some folders on XP machine
4. The problem is when I try to connect to the XP machine
the access restriction massage appers.
5. I try to resolve it by creating a user account on
the w2k machine same as XP.
6. But still problem exists.
7. Any help please.

There are many possible causes for the "access restriction massage".

It worked for me.

Caveat, editing the registry is scary. You might wanna back it up first.
 
I found a solution but it seems little bit crazy
1. creating two administrator accounts (with same username/pw)
on each machine. (XP and 2K)

2. But when it is done y2k machine is allowed to log in to XP
machine when I'm logging with that account only. Otherwise displ
ay a messege " logon failure, user account restirction"

3. Can I know why?
