Cannot access registry, msconfig, or task manager

I clicked a link in AOL Instant Messenger, which I know I should not have
done... But since I did that I cannot access the Registry Editor, Task
Manager, or MSCONFIG Utility. When I try to launch them, they show up for
about .5 seconds and go away. I updated virus definitions and ran a virus
scan and everything. I am pretty sure this is a virus but I cannot find it
or get rid of it. Please help. Thank you
