Cannot Access Computers on my network

I just purchased a Dell XPS400 running windows XP media edition to replace my
7 year old Dell XPS450 running windows 98. I installed (network software
installed onto the XPS400) a Netgear WGR614 54 Mbps Wireless Router to
connect the two desktops and my Dell Latitude laptop running Windows XP
professional. All three machines can access the internet but none can access
the others. The XPS450 sees the XPS400 but cannot access it. The XPS400 and
the laptop do not see each other or the XPS450. I ran the network wizard and
it said I need to run a utility on each of the machines once. I do not have a
copy of the utility to run on the other machines and it does not allow me to
point to my cd drive to make a copy. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks,

In what order are all devices connected? What's connected to the incoming
Internet line and what are each computer connected to in turn?

You probably have a firewall on the computers blocking access to each other.
You need to go into the exceptions tab and make an exception for your LAN
connection. For example, you could do this by allowing the firewall to not
block a group of subnet inside your lan (eg. 192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.120).
While in the firewall, also make sure that you enable File and Printer
Sharing. The next thing to check upon is if all the computers are in the
SAME workgroup as each other.
After all those are done, test connectivity to each other by using the Ping
utility. Hit Start -- Run -- cmd -- ping computername1
