I just switched to XP but I have one problem. I have a
cannon bubble jet printer 5100 and cannon does not support
software for XP. HELP!!! What can I do?

Unfortunately, Cannon has made the decision not to support the 5100 for XP, and I don't think the Windows 2000 drivers will work as expected.

I know most people aren't complete geeks, like me, so you probably don't have an old computer system lying around, but if you did... You could install Windows 98 on it, install the printer on it, and share the printer?

Sorry,

- carl

That's because they want you to buy a new printer. I had the same problem
with a Visioneer Scanner.

supported for "bubble jet printer 5100",Two choices for

1.Do without a printer

you could always dual boot with xp and what ever os that
still supports the printer.

Although I don't have a Cannon printer, I have had the same problem with my
scanner and sound card. In both cases the Windows 2000 driver worked
perfectly first time.
