Excuse me for crossposting, I put question in wrong group earlier.

Hi,

I would like to know what value of TimeToShowCancelDialog under the
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\CancelRPC
that is default if the key isn´t present at all.

//MN

By default, that value doesn't exist. It has to be manually added. By
default, the appearance of the cancel dialog is controlled by the server
connection timeout value on the General page of the Microsoft Exchange
Server service's properties page in your Outlook profile.

Outlook 2002

I think we are talking about different timeouts. I mean the new feature that
comes with Outlook 2002 and that tells me that Outlook is requesting data
from the Exchangeserver.

What is the default value if the TimeToShowCancelDialog value isn´t present
at all. Is it possible to use RPCPing to measure the roundtrip for an RPC
request from the actual client in Exchange2000?

What I'm saying is there is no default value. Unless you, yourself add that
value to the registry, it doesn't exist when you install Outlook. What
Outlook normally uses to decide that timeout unless you add that value to
the registry is the server connection timeout value on the General page of
the Microsoft Exchange Server service's properties page in your Outlook
profile. The default value for that is 30 seconds.
