Cancel Install of WinXP Home Over Professional

Hi,
How can I cancel installing WinXP Home?

I booted my PC with the WinXP Home CD in the drive by
mistake. Now, to my horror, I see it has already finished
the first 3 steps:

Collecting Information
Dynamic Update
Preparing Installation

and it is now in the "Installing Windows" step.

I already have WinXP Professional, and want to cancel this
install of WinXP Home, but how? A removal of the CD, then
reboot just takes me back to the same screen!

What can I do?

Interesting. That shouldn't have been possible, as you can't load Home over
the top of Pro. Unless of course you chose to format the hard drive, in
which case, you've got nothing left to lose.

Even if you set up a dual-boot by mistake, you should be seeing a menu to
choose the original OS or the setup.

You might as well finish the installation and see what you've got.

The other option would be to take the drive out, put it in a working
computer, and see what you've got as far as partitions and files.
