Is there some hack/tweak that can get the XP taskbar to behavel like
under win98:

As you opened more applications the taskbar buttons got resized (iem
they got narrower and narrower as you opened more) - it doesn't seem XP
can do this????

(I know you can change a registry setting to get a permanent size
difference, that's not what i'm asking for)

Try right clicking on the task bar..properties..uncheck group similiar
taskbar buttons.

Thanks, but that doesn't work. (It doesn't change the width of the
buttons but adds a scroll bar)

How small are your buttons now. The taskbar should go into scroll mode only
when your buttons are very small (i.e. big enough to accomodate the icon).

I guess you could say that is the behavior it shows now. Our definition
of "very small" is just not the same. Ie, i wouldn't mind if they were
much smaller - do you know if there is a registry setting somewhere?
Something that defines the size perhaps, ie. if its smaller than a
certain value then it will go in scroll mode?

(There isn't a keyboard shortcut to switch between "pages" in scroll
mode is there? )
