Can Word be used on the web?

I'm searching for a technology to be used on the web for input and maintenance of forms. Forms need to be filled out and submitted then accessed, updated and printed. Forms must be able to be attached to other forms and subsets of the form data must be viewable or updatable depending on security settings. I also need to implement electronic signatures so forms can be approved via the web. Is this something Word can handle or do I need another technology. Any ideas?

The problem with using Word for this is that a) only people with Word
installed at their end can use the forms, and b) many people are wary of
downloading Word documents, especially if the they contain code, which you
might need to do all that fancy stuff. Many (most?) corporate networks would
completely block any attempt to download a Word document containing code.

Acrobat is the method I'd use, mainly because I'm familiar with it; it does
all the things you mention. There are certainly others. Do a Google for 'web
forms' or similar.
