Can these tracking entries in the registry be deleted?

I stumbled across these registry entries (in XP Pro) that had recorded URLs
of visited sites, a bit like spy ware I thought.

Can I delete them safely, please?

HK_U\.Default\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Internet
Settings\P3P\History\ then a long list of URLs like adbureau.com,
advertising.com, fastadvert.com, etc.

Also similar entries under

HK_U\S-1-5-18\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Internet
Settings\P3P\History\ then a long list of URLs again.

Would it be safe to delete the whole list at one go by selecting the History
item, and clicking on Edit, Delete?

Does anyone know of an application that will automatically remove such
entries? I have tried running Webroot Window Washer, but the list of items
is still there.

Regards.

To Wesley Vogel,

Thank you for responding.

I have downloaded and run the applications you mentioned - Disk Cleaner and
MRU-Blaster. However, they have not removed the registry items I want to
delete. (Since you list some 'cleaning' applications, I take it that you
imply it is safe to remove the registry items I listed.)

Cycle.

Try Adaware and Spybot Search & Destroy.

Please remove obvious from email address if emailing.

To Gasman: thank you for your suggestion - updated versions of Adaware and
of Spybot leave the registry entries untouched, they are still there.

I now suspect that the registry entries that I quoted are from an
automatically downloaded list of malware sites that is generated by some
Microsoft-accepted privacy protection group. The purpose of the list seems
to be to automatically reject all cookies from the listed sites.

The issue appears complex on the pages I have been reading, and not easy to
understand. I should be pleased to hear from someone who knows more about
the issue than I do, and to know if my suspicions are correct.

Regards, Cycle.
