Can TaskMan's red 'Close' button be made to minimize instead?

I like to keep TaskMan minimized on the tray for the CPU gauge, but I find
myself accidentally closing it because I'm so used to red X'g out of it
after using it for something (examine processes or whatever). Is there some
trick to make it so that the only way to exit TaskMan is via File/Exit?

Hi,
If you think about functionality like BitTorrent which asks Close or
Minimize (and allows to remember selected option)... - forget about it.

No, at least not without some hacking, in which case it might even be
easier to just write a new tray applet that shows a CPU gauge.

Or google for one, I'd be surprised if nobody has written it yet ;)
It took me < 30 seconds to find this, but I don't know if it works on

Coincidentally, that's the one that I used to use in XP, but it doesn't work
in Vista (and isn't likely to be updated for it), so I moved to Taskman.
Since I run Taskman frequently anyway, I figured it would be good to go with
it on the tray as well, though if I can't get used to not closing it I'll
have to find something else.

It happens that Milhouse Van Houten formulated :

Look for Process Explorer by Systernals - it can be made to minimize to the
system tray and by default shows a CPU usage graph - plus, it is MUCH more
capable than standard Task Manager

Milhouse, have you tried Options>Hide When Minimized?

When you minimize Task Manager, it disappears from the taskbar but there's a
green CPU meter bar in the Notification Area that you can doubleclick to
restore TM.

Yes, that works to minimize it to the tray, but I was hoping for some kind
of hack (like a command-line switch or something) that would prevent me from
closing TaskMan with the red "X" button, which I'm in the habit of using. If
I remember to click "Minimize" it'll stay open on the tray, but I don't
always do.
