Can someone please explain array formulas to me?

I know you're supposed to use Ctrl-Shift-Enter, but when do you do this, do
you enter it before or after the formula? do you hit Ctrl-Shift, and then
enter? Help! Thanks!

Type the formula then while holding down the CTRL and SHIFT keys, hit ENTER

Ctrl, Shift and Alt are modifiers. You're modifying the Enter key in this
case, so you must have Ctrl and Shift down when you press Enter.
