Can receive but not send email

When I work from home I connect to our corporate network
via an IPSec VPN and I can only receive email and not
send. When I'm in the office I can send and receive
without any problems. Any suggestions?
 
What/whose SMTP server are you trying to use, and does the VPN client block
you from using Internet (i.e., non-VPN) resources while connected, as many
do for security?
 
I am trying to use our corporate email server. I can not
access the Internet directly when I have my VPN tunnel set
up. There is no split tunneling enabled. I have to go
through the corporate firewall to get out.
