I have the same problem as a lot of people but still no luck resolving. Here
is the message:

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Subject 'test4', Account: 'GRIDCOM.NET', Server: 'GRIDCOM.NET',
Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

I've tried changing Ports to 26 or 587, with no luck. I've uninstalled my
Antivirus and am still getting this error. I do still have my Spy Sweeper
program installed.

Anybody got another idea?

'Unexpected termination' is usually caused by interference from a non-
compatible antivirus program or other third party security program.
Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus and Spy Sweeper must
be turned off, although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
In a worst case scenario, your antivirus and/or Spy Sweeper may need to
be uninstalled.

If turning off the email scanning function does not resolve your problem,
consider upgrading to Windows Live Mail, because it is less prone to
suffering bad effects from overly intrusive security programs:

Email scanning must be disabled, for reasons explained here:

That seems to have done it. Thanks a lot!
