Can powerpoint 2003 import a corel Presentation slide show?

No, but Corel Presentations can save as a relatively primitive version of
PowerPoint presentation. Then open in PowerPoint and update the
presentation to current.

The easiest solution would be to ask the CP creator to convert it to a PPT
file.
