Hi, I have a problem with my brand new system. The system
uses 802.11b/g wireless LAN and I can connect to the
nearby wireless. After seeing that I get an IP address I
try to open the browser and get a page not found error. I
double check if the LAN settings are automatically
detected in the internet explorer. After looking at the
trouble shooting help I tried to ping to the DNS IP
address and I got a 0% loss (all the 4 packets were sent).
But when I try to say some thing like ping www.google.com
I get an error. And when I check the status of my
connection there are only packets sent and the packets
received is just a 0 always. I checked if all the
firewalls are inactive but even then there is no
improvement. Please suggest me where the wrong could be. I
need help badly.
thanks.

sounds like DNS issue. use nslookup to troubleshoot it.
