can outlook alert me when I get new hotmail messages like outlook express?

Is there a way to have it so that Outlook will alert me when I get new hotmail messages. Currently it only does that when I get new messages from other providers. Also if any of you know how to make it so that my sent mail from hotmail stays in my sent mail folder for hotmail and doesn't go to my other sent mail folder that would be cool.

to my knowledge outlook does not support hotmail by design.
