Can ONLY browse internet through anonymous PROXY

I've had problems browsing the internet with IE and other
browsers including Mozilla and Opera. I can access FTP
sites and even ping the domains through dos prompt but
could not browse web pages. I decided to try an anonymous
proxy and it works. I just can't figure it out! I've
reinstalled IE6 about three times already. And it will
only browse web pages through a proxy. Can anyone help?
