I get the Windows Installer - "Insert the Microsoft Windows Journal Viewer
disk and click ok"

I have tried removing Microsoft Windows Journal Viewer - I get the same
message.
I have downloaded the MWJV and tried to install it but I get the same
message.

If I click OK I get "path not found"
Every time I click Cancel I get the Windows Installer message again. The
only way to stop it is through Task Manager.

Acrobat 6.1 ? Is that out ? I was under the impression the latest version is v6.02.

If you mean v6.01, I suggest updating it to v6.02 to plug a moderately severe vulnerability.

Anyway, remove both Acrobat and Journal Viewer. Install Adobe Acrobat then Journal Viewer.

If that doesn't help, get an Adobe support account and post the query on the Adobe News
server.

I received the same advice from the Adobe Forum. I did download and install Adobe 6.02 but I am unable to uninstall the MWJV nor can I run setup.exe. I get the same response. You were correct about the version.
Thanks

That needs specific info that I don't have. I can only guess that somehow the utility
MSIZAP.EXE would have to be used to allow the software to be fully removed and reinstalled.

Have you tried removing it in Safe Mode ?
