Can not single space with help directions in frontpage

With frontpage I can not get it to stop double spacing lines. Have tried
using info from help and still will not single space.

if you mean when you're adding text to a page, for a new single spaced line press and hold Shift and
then press Enter
This is a html standard used by all html editors.
