Can not reload XP Home after SP2 upgrade

When trying to reload Xp home I am told that I have a later version of
Windows and can not use my CD. Do I have to do a clean reload of rather than
overwriting?
 
Make a SP2 slipstreamed version of Windows XP
and afterward perform a "Repair Install" with the
new CD.

Either one of the following utilities makes slipstreaming
(integrating) SP2 into Windows XP a breeze:
