Anny suggestions for the above problem. I have not received mail since 7/13
...can not solve the problem...help

You haven't given us much to go on.
Any error messages when you try?
Which antivirus are you running?

I have the same problem with Windows Mail and here is the error I get.

Account: 'junkerjorg.com', Server: 'junkerjorg.com', Protocol: POP3, Port:
110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC19

That error message pertains to receiving only, so I'll address that part.
Usually there is a sentence or two at the start of the error message, such
as "A time-out occurred while communicating with the server."
Please include all parts of the error message as that will assist our
troubleshooting efforts.

That type of error is often caused by interference from a non-
compatible antivirus program. Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus must be turned off,
although that may not be sufficient to eliminate all bad effects.
For more information on why email scanning is bad, see
http://thundercloud.net/infoave/tutorials/email-scanning/index.htm

That was the entire error message, I copied and pasted. I am using AVG
antivirus and have since turned off email scanning. I received mail finally
but I have to wait until I get the server timeout warning, the one that gives
the option to stop or wait. I click stop and about 30 seconds later I get
email.

Chances are, you installed AVG antivirus using its default install option.
If so, uninstall it, then reinstall, but select 'custom' install, which then
allows you to forego installing the troublesome email scanning module.

While AVG is uninstalled, try Windows Mail again, just to verify that
the culprit has been found.

There are several Live programs.
You need to use Windows Live Mail.
Click on Tools - Accounts - Add
click on Email account
enter your hotmail email address & password
you don't need to enter any server info, it will do it automatically.

I tried uninstalling AVG and then tried to receive mail. I got the same error
message and about a minute or so after it timed out and set the error I
received all the emails from the server. Any other suggestions?

Did you reboot after uninstalling AVG? Windows often requires that in
order to unload memory-resident processes.

Do you have any other third party security program (besides AVG)?
If not, the only suggestion I have left is to upgrade to Windows Live Mail:
