I had unchecked the system restore box and opened my xp
pro system in the safemode to have symantec find and
quarentine a , syslauncher.exe, trojan.
The program did remove and quarentine the file in the
safe mode. My problem is, I can not get out of the
safemode and recheck my system restore box.
I have re booted and asked it many times to start in the
normal mode but it always goes back to safe mode.
I have put the system disk and tried a repair, still no
luck.
I can not get on-line to have anyone view my system remote
because I am in the safe mode.
Does any one have a suggestion on how to get back to the
normal mode when "F8" and selecting normal mode have not
worked?/
Any thing I can look for in the registry?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
system is 2 months old, win xp pro

In safe mode, make sure this setting is not in place:

Go to Start/Run/Msconfig. Boot.Ini/SafeBoot.

Is that the correct spelling of the trojan?

Thank you for the input, I will try it now. The trojan
name that symantec listed was syslauncher.exe.
