have upgraded to windows xp pro from windows m.e.and can
not get ALS4000 audio and sound card to work have
downloaded drivers from the internet but x.p rejects them
a
ll so far (so no sound) can anyone help please thanks

Could you please tell us the method you used to install
the drivers. This is important as you may not have done it
correctly. When using the wizard you may want to "Not" use
XP's drivers but choose to install from a different
location and often it is best(I found) to download the
driver to a floppy and then point the install to the file
on the floppy. e:mail me if you need more help. Keep
smiling.

Purchase a seperate sound card, a Soundblaster 16PCI for instance.. they are
relatively cheap and will bring sound back to your temorarily mute PC..

Rejects them how? If you get a message that the drivers are not approved by
MS, go ahead and load the drivers. This message means that MS has not yet
tested the drivers, but they will probably work OK. As a safeguard create a
restore point before loading the drivers, so you can restore if necessary.
