Hello, I just installed SBC DSL and now I can not get to
secure sites (IE. Amazon accounts).... I could before I
installed DSL, not sure if DSL install upgraded my
Explorer version or not but now I'm having the same issues
with you.

Has Microsoft issued any fixes for this issue?

Check your system for "hijackware".

HijackThis (http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip) is the
preferred tool to use these days. It will help to both identify and remove
any hijackware/spyware. **Post your files to
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/, not here.**

Also update your virus definitions and then run a full system scan. From
now on, do both daily.

I've got the same problem since I installed two recent MSHTML.DLL
security patches for MSIE 6... they're supposed to protect from certain
exploits and they seem to do that, but apparently while fixing one
thing, MS screwed something else, as usual... For shopping, etc., I've
now switched to Opera. It's a much more secure and bug-free browser
anyway, and personally, since I frequently need the secure protocol in
my browser, if MS doesn't fix this issue soon, I'll probably happily get
rid of IE6 and stay with Opera permanently... :) That, or I'll roll back
to some older MSHTML version (if that library is the reason, as I
suspect) and leave myself open to the exploits again. :-D
