I had no problem adding music from media player to my presentations. One day, I was not able to add it any more. Previously added sounds still play, but new sounds and music don't

Any ideas
Should I just delete Powerpoint and re-install it?

No you should not just delete PowerPoint. Which version of PowerPoint are you
using?

You might want to try the Detect and repair function before
uninstalling/reinstalling. You also might want to search your system for *.pcb
Deleting this file, which holds a number of your PowerPoint settings, will be
recreated once you restart PowerPoint.

Powerpoint 2003 on a Windows XP OS

THANKS!!!
The *.pcb thing did the trick. I never would have come across that fix by searching the troubleshooting file. The music is back and now I can get back to my projects.
You're a lifesaver

Thanks for getting back and letting us know that everything worked out.
