We have a PC at work with two NICs. One NIC is attached to our LAN and
the other NIC is attached to a test instrument. Often, the users will
need to detach the instrument's connection, but they forget to quit out
of the controlling software. This results in our LAN being flooded with
connection attempts from the PC's LAN address to the private IP address
assigned to the instrument (192.168.x.y);
