Can I use Developer Edition to 'uninstall' full version.

I want to remove the full version of Access from a couple of hundred
computers and replace it with just the runtime. I found in the past that
deploying the XP runtime effectively uninstalls Access97 but can I make it
so that just by deploying an XP runtime, the full version of XP is
uninstalled or at least disabled.
TIA for any help - GA

Deploying the 2002 runtime most assuredly does NOT uninstall Access 97. If one
were foolish enough to install it into the same folder as Access 97 it might
very well "break" Access 97, but it might very well break Word, Excel,
Powerpoint, and Outlook as well if they are not the same version.

Installed into a different folder the most it would do is mess with the Windows
file association settings for MDx file types, but that is a well known artifact
of installing ANY two versions of Access on the same PC.
