can i upggrade windows xp home with a windows xp full install cd and not the upgrade

i just dont want to do the full install of windows xp professional. i
rather do the upgrade so i dont have to install and look for drivers
over the internet for my devices thank you

Full RETAIL copy of Windows XP Professional - yes.
Full OEM copy of Windows XP Professional - no.
