I have a workbook that I have placed columns across that is Date, State, Client, Class, County, Contact Person, Phone, EXT, Status, Map Code, Fax and Reference/comments. I corrupted this thing and have several (save as) with different file names as for recovery but I am afraid that I must of ruined on of the first ones. I will have to do more investigation in the morning. I think that I have done a sort function accidently, that sorted only one or to columns so now the name doesn’t match Client or Phone. I am not sure yet but Name may match phone number but I know some of them do not match Client. State Client Class seem to be OK.

Is there a way to find other instances of this before it was sorted this way? I don't think our technology department back's up files more that a day.

Unless you can find a previous backup, you're probably stuck
recovering manually.

It may not be so bad after all. Since I have Date on the
header and dated entries as they were put in. I may find
the ones that are not messed up and paste them somewhere
else. I found out that our technology department puts
everything on disc that is more than 24 hours old. It
looks like I can find the ruined data and cut it out and
paste the entries from the backup.
