Like when you download a file and say saveas ?

It always saves to the desktop, would like, like to have it somthing
like d:\Xp_Downloads :), this is just the stuff that does not work
with a downloadload manager i have, just anoying to have my desktop
cluttered with downloads :(

If you can help please do .

Hi,

It will always open to the same location as the last download. If you are
using a download manager, you need to change the settings there. If using
the native download function, you need to first create a destination folder,
then when prompted to save a file change to the new directory (use the "save
in" dropdown at the top of the dialog box to make this change).

Get a download manager. They allow you to set your default folder, or
some can the folder based on the the file type which can be handy. A
download manager will also speed up your downloads.

My favorite is DownloadStudio (http://www.downloadstudio.com). It's
got a nice download wizard that steps you through getting files onto
your computer. Its real easy-to-use and is very fast.

Chris.
