Can I shutdown without powerdown?

I want to use a remote power switch for turning on and
off my cpu, monitor, etc.

I would like that as well. I think it controlled in the bios.
Which some idiot manufactures have removed.

I'm too chicken to flash my bios. If I'm not 100%
sure it will work with my system. I do have the file just in case
something does go wrong. I can flash it. At that time it won't
matter.
