Can I setup Hit Counter for Word 2000 document?

Hi,
I have setup a very basic Intranet through Microsoft Word on our network.
Is there by any chance I can setup a Hit counter to see how many times the
Index Page has been accessed? Or can you advise of what I would be better
doing?

I don't know of anything you can use for this. You might inquire in the
word.web.authoring newsgroup, however.
