Can i set outlook to pop up my emails when they arrive?

Someone I know has their email messages pop up in the lower right corner with
who they are from and the begginning message when they arrive. How do you
set this up? To the best of my knowledge they are only using outlook.

For Outlook 2003, click Tools>Options>E-mail Options>Advanced E-mail Options
and put a check in the "Display a New Mail Desktop Alert" box.
