hi ! i am working with an access database on my desktop but also want to use
a copy of the same in the field on a laptop. how can i set the desktop
version to a master and the laptop to slave status as to ensure no records
are lost when trying to patch the two together?
Cheers
Andrew.

Just open help in Access and study up on Replication and Synchronization.
It does exactly what you're after.

You create an MDB. Enable repliaction. Create a Replica. Move it
somewhere. Work in it. Bring it back. Open it. Use Tools | Replication |
Synchronize Now.

Hi AMCD,

Investigate replication. You should post this question in the replication
group.
