Do a screen capture.

Personally I wouldn't want a spreadsheet as my desktop background, but
to each his own.

Hi,
With XP you can have an html page as a background. Hot spots and all.
Save as a webpage will get you there. Enable interactive if you want that.

Looks like that functionality is gone in Vista.
