I have a word document that I wish to send toi a friend in pdf or jpeg format
so that it can be added to a club newsletter. Is there any way i can do this ?

I have acrobat reader installed on my pc

If the friend wants to add the article to a newsletter, it would probably
better to let him/her have it as an editable Word document, however to
create a pdf, you need a PDF writer. Acrobat reader will not do that. There
are some examples linked from the favourites page of my web site.

jpeg is even more complicated, and you will again need third party software,
this time for screen capture e.g. SnagIt, though it your fax software saves
its files in jpg format, you could output to fax.

Elsewhere in these newsgroups we are dealing with a request from a
newsletter editor for some way to convert a PDF to Word because an author
submitted a contribution in PDF format, which he could not use. Discuss with
your friend the preferred format for your submission. If he/she can't use a
Word document, perhaps saving in RTF would be more satisfactory. But unless
the word document is an advertisement or something similar that needs to be
presented graphically in the newsletter, a PDF or JPEG would not be
appropriate because it is not editable.
