Can I retriieve an email that has been permanently deleted?

I accidentally deleted everything in my "Deleted Items" folder. Is there a
way to retrieve any emails that have been permenently deleted this way?
 
All mail is actually stored on the exchange server for a couple of days
(don't remember the default) until it is permanently purged. Your sysadmin
should be able to retrieve it for you.
