Can I remove Framework v.1.0?

I have v. 1.1 and (English) 1.0.3705 on my system. Since the latest version
of the Framework did not overwrite the old one, is it safe to remove the
older version?

Unless you have Visual Studio .NET 2002 of some other product that uses it,
yes.
