There are no easily accessible methods of recovering the file, but file
recovery tools *may* be able to recover some or all of the file, if the disc
space it occupied has not been overwritten. Whether you follow the disc
recovery route depends on whether the document is valuable enough to warrant
passing the disc to a specialist or to buy software capable of doing it. One
thing is certain, if you wish to have any chance, you must shut down the PC
NOW and don't use it again until an attempt is made to recover.
You need to reassess your backup regimes to prevent this sort of thing in
future.
