I'm having the same problem with 100% CPU usage of
explorer.exe. I remember installing a program I
downloaded off the Internet. Within hours, I noticed a
significant slowdown in my PCs performance. Then I found
a few programs that had the name "explorer" in them. So
I guess it overwrote my original explorer.exe file, and
now is a Trojan horse than none of the virus checkers can
find, including McAfee, Spybot, Adaware, or HijackThis.
Can I re-install WinXP Pro UPGRADE without having my
original WinME discs?
